Parks and Gardens of Dublin

Dublin is full of fine gardens, parks and waterways such as Stephen Green, Merrion Square and Georgian Squares. The large public parks and botanical gardens will help you escape from the busy city streets and have a peace of mind that you search for everywhere. There is Dublin’s beautiful council park which has been designed to view the City’s landscapes in order to provide a sustainable and attractive city. It aims to meet all your conversational, recreational and social needs.

Iveagh Gardens

Garden of remembrance is the heart of the city as it was created in the memory of all those who sacrificed their lives for the main reason of Dublin’s freedom. The sculpture of Oisin Kelly is located at the center of the garden, which is now a place of quiet submission, remembrance and reflection of those people who sacrificed themselves. The Iveagh Gardens are among the well-known gardens of Dublin’s gardens and parks. It was created by Ninian Niven in 1865, representing both English Landscape and French Formal styles. It reflects the artistic skills of the architects by viewing the landscape in the most beautiful way. It displays a unique collection of panorama features which include Cascade and Rustic Grotto, Maze, wilderness, Woodlands, Archery Grounds, Rooteries and Rockeries.

National Botanic Gardens, Dublin

The National Botanic Garden is known for its fine plantation, holding about 14,000 plant species with the cultivators of various habitats from all over the world. It is famous for its restored glass houses, notably the Green Palm House and Turner Curvilinear Range, both being the recipients of Conservation Architecture award in Europe.visitors from all around the world come and enjoy features like alpine yard, rose garden arboretum, the pond area and the rock garden. Conservation is the most important feature of this garden and that is why, it has given home to various endangered plant species from different parts of the world.

St. Stephen Green is the best-known park in Ireland. It is a Victorian public park, which was opened in 1880. It has been properly maintained in a Victorian style with extensive shrub planting and perimeter tree. It is known as herbaceous border, which provides color from spring to autumn. There are Pulham rock and waterfall that are located on the western side of the green and are worth a visit. The waterfall is a reflection of an ornamental lake, which is like a home for the garden that is visually so pleasant. Dublin is a very special place, a meditation center and an ideal setting for a break from a busy life. Its peaceful gardens and parks hold a place of calmness for body, mind and spirit.
