Where to Shop in Dublin

Shopping in Dublin focuses on a wide variety of streets, which are located on both north side and southern side of the city. Both the streets are located on the opposite side of the river and are a walk apart. Grafton Street is considered to be the smartest shopping area with all kinds of department stores. These include a fashionable store called Brown Thomas; the leading jewelers called Weirs; Bewley’s cafĂ© and other departmental stores with branded accessories.

Nearby, you will find a Powerscourt Townhouse, which is a small but a convenient shopping centre. Another one of the best shopping centers is St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, which is located at the end of Grafton Street. If you are a book lover then there are some bookshops down the Dawson Street.

More shopping centers can be found on Georges Street, which accommodates George Street Arcade. It is a redbrick market full of stores and stalls, all offering something unusual and unique for their customers such as clothes, fruits, fortune telling, memorabilia and lots more. There is also Castle market area where you can find all kinds of shoe and clothes shops, even shops where there are second hand clothes available as well. There are restaurants, fine food shops, trendy bars, art shops, music gallery with many gift shops to catch your attention. An outdoor food market on Camden Street is full of craft, food and gift shops.

Next there is Nassau Street, which is located on the southern side of famous Trinity College. It is the main point where quality Irish designs are seen with traditional and modern tweeds, glassware and ceramics. Do not forget to visit the temple bar, which was built as a cultural place but is now full of small shops such as music, art, clothes and crafts. Some antique shops are also seen in the oldest area of Dublin called Christchurch. This area also hosts a wide range of gift and craft shops.

Henry Street is the main focus for people who are searching for shopping areas in Dublin. It is full of department stores such as footwear and clothing stores. There is ILAC Shopping Centre, with a newer Jervis Street Shopping Centre, both of which are always open for bargains. Hence, each area is full of adventures and will always have something new to offer.
